If you’re in a committed relationship, or you’re preparing for such a relationship, then you’re invited to join Vickie and I to study the Art of Creating Secure, Healthy and Stress-Free Relationship at the beautiful SHOAL Centre, a five minute walk from downtown Sidney.
Here are a few of the sub-themes that you can look forward to, though we won’t, necessarily, have time to address all of them:
  • Consolidating Connection
  • Responding to Spoken Desires and Needs
  • Forgiveness, Shame and Guilt
  • Communicating Without Fear
  • Constructive Conflict
  • Ensuring Emotional and Physical Safety
  • Creating Realistic Expectations
  • Honoring Boundaries
  • Restoring Trust
Sidney is on Vancouver Island, ten minutes drive from Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal and thirty minutes from Downtown Victoria. Busses traveling between Victoria and Swartz Bay stop minutes away from our venue. Philip Be’er is the author of Learning to Love – Your Guide to Personal Empowerment. Philip’s work focuses on identifying ‘involuntary’ barriers to secure love and connectedness, and dissolving these impediments in a way that minimises anger, blame, embarrassment, guilt and shame. Vickie Petrescu teaches mindfulness, relaxation and yoga in Steveston, and will be leading an international yoga retreat in Bali later this year.
We encourage those who are attending with their partners, to consider this their valentines couple’s-retreat. Opportunities will be provided to work directly with your partner, if you’d like.
